T6FV Social Shredder

Automate your social cuts for DaVinci Resolve. Turn long-form timelines into viral clips in minutes.

Step 1: Prep Your Timeline

To give the AI the data it needs, we need to export your timeline's subtitles.

  1. In DaVinci Resolve, go to your timeline.
  2. Navigate to Timeline -> AI Tools -> Create Subtitles From Audio.
  3. In the settings, set it strictly to 8 characters, 1 line.
  4. Clear any In/Out points on your timeline (Alt+X / Option+X).
  5. Once generated, go to File -> Export -> Subtitle...
  6. Export the file as an .srt file.

Step 2: Upload & Generate Prompt

Upload the .srt file you just exported.

If Resolve exported your SRT out of sync, enter the delay here (e.g., -3.8) to fix it.

Step 4: Import EDL Markers

Now, let's load these cuts back into Resolve:

  1. Go to the Edit Page in DaVinci Resolve.
  2. Find your current timeline in the Media Pool.
  3. Right click it -> Timelines -> Import -> Timeline Markers from EDL...
  4. Select the EDL file you just downloaded. You should now see Green (IN) and Red (OUT) markers populating your timeline!

Step 5: Prep Social Exports

Run the T6FV Social Shredder script to automatically queue your social cuts for rendering based on the markers.

Installation Instructions:

Place the downloaded T6FV Social Shredder V2.5.lua file in the following directory:

Mac:
/Library/Application Support/Blackmagic Design/DaVinci Resolve/Support/Fusion/Scripts/Edit/
Windows:
%APPDATA%\Blackmagic Design\DaVinci Resolve\Support\Fusion\Scripts\Edit\

Once installed, activate it inside DaVinci Resolve by navigating to:
Workspace -> Scripts -> Edit -> T6FV Social Shredder
