T6FV Ecosystem Privacy Policy
Last Updated: July 4, 2026
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy governs how THE 6-FIGURE VIDEOGRAPHER LTD. (“T6FV”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, protects, and handles your data when you use the T6FV Ecosystem. This includes the T6FV Video Planner, all standalone tools contained within it (such as the Prompter, Director’s Viewfinder, and Lighting Diagram), the T6FV.io website, and all associated cloud features (collectively, the “Services”).
We believe that your production data is your own business. Our overarching philosophy is to keep as much of your data local to your device as possible, only collecting and storing the information strictly necessary to operate our community and network features.
By downloading, accessing, or using any part of the Services, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
2. The “Local-First” Commitment (Data We Do NOT Collect)
T6FV operates on a fundamentally “local-first” architecture. This means the vast majority of your production data never leaves your device and is never transmitted to or stored on our servers.
We do NOT collect, view, sync, or store:
- Your private project details, shot lists, or storyboards.
- Your client information, scripts, or private notes.
- Your financial estimates or Pricing Calculator data.
- Media, audio files, or photos generated during your private use of the tools.
This Local Data lives solely within the application sandbox on your physical hardware. We have zero access to it.
3. Device Permissions & How They Are Used
To provide the functionality of our professional production tools, the Services will request specific hardware permissions on your device. We do not collect, transmit, or store the data generated by these permissions on our servers. All processing happens locally on your device.
-
Microphone / Speech Recognition Access:
Why we need it: The Prompter tool requires microphone access to “listen” and automatically scroll the script to match your speaking pace. The Planner utilizes voice access to transcribe spoken voice notes into text-based “Ideas” within the app.
Data Collection: Your audio data is processed locally in real-time. We do not record, collect, or send your voice data to T6FV servers.
-
Camera Access:
Why we need it: The Planner allows you to snap reference images, the Director’s Viewfinder uses the camera to simulate focal lengths, and the Lighting Diagram uses it to capture real-world environments for your setups.
Data Collection: We do not view, collect, or upload your camera feed or the photos you take.
-
Photo Library / Camera Roll Access:
Why we need it: To allow you to save exported PDFs, Viewfinder stills, and Lighting Diagram images directly to your device’s native storage, or to upload your own images into your private local projects.
Data Collection: We do not scan, collect, or transmit the contents of your photo library to our servers.
4. Information We Collect and Store (Cloud & Community Features)
While your private production data stays local, certain features of the T6FV Ecosystem are inherently social and interconnected. If you choose to utilize these features, the following data is collected, stored on our servers, and made publicly accessible:
- Account Registration Data: To access cloud features, you must create an account. We collect your basic information, including your name, email address, and account credentials.
- The Network & Directory: If you choose to generate a public Portfolio Page, join the Directory, or create a public profile, the information you provide (e.g., your bio, links, location, avatar, and portfolio media) is stored on our servers and viewable by anyone on the public web.
- Forum & Connect Posts: Any text, images, job listings, replies, or information you voluntarily post in the community Forum or the Connect section is stored on our servers and is fully visible to other registered users in the ecosystem.
- Blueprint Submissions: If you choose to upload and submit a custom Blueprint (project template) to the community marketplace, the structural data, text, and formatting of that Blueprint are stored on our servers and made publicly available for other users to download and utilize.
A Note on Cloud Data: We do not actively monitor, analyze, or mine your public data for hidden insights. However, by utilizing these features, you acknowledge that T6FV hosts this data and that it is accessible to the public or the community based on the nature of the feature.
5. Payment Information
T6FV does not process or store your raw credit card information. All subscription payments and financial transactions are handled securely by third-party payment processors (such as the Apple App Store, Google Play Store, or Stripe). We only receive cryptographic tokens and billing status information necessary to unlock your premium access.
6. How We Use Your Information
For the limited data we do collect (Account Data and Cloud/Community Data), we use it strictly to:
- Operate, maintain, and provide the interactive features of the Services.
- Authenticate your account and manage your premium subscription status.
- Display your public profile and Connect posts to facilitate professional networking.
- Communicate with you regarding account security, legal updates, or customer support.
- Ensure compliance with our Terms of Use and maintain a safe community environment.
We do not sell, rent, or lease your personal information or user-generated content to third-party data brokers or marketing agencies.
7. Data Retention and Deletion
You maintain control over your community data.
- User-Generated Content: You may delete your Forum posts, Connect listings, or published Blueprints at any time through the app interface.
- Account Deletion: You may request the complete deletion of your T6FV account. Upon account deletion, your profile, Directory listing, and associated public data will be removed from our active servers.
Note: Deleting the app from your phone instantly destroys your Local Data (as we do not back it up), but you must actively delete your account to remove your public cloud data.
8. Legal and Security Disclosures
We may disclose your information if we believe in good faith that such action is necessary to:
- Comply with a legal obligation, subpoena, or valid law enforcement request.
- Protect and defend the rights, property, or safety of T6FV, our users, or the public.
- Investigate or prevent potential technical tampering, fraud, or violations of our Acceptable Use Policy.
9. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction (such as PIPEDA in Canada, the GDPR, or CCPA), you may have specific rights regarding your personal data, including the right to access, correct, or request the deletion of the personal information we hold on our servers. Because we do not hold your local production data, any requests for data access will strictly encompass your account profile and public community history.
